First French boarding school for girls, founded in 1826 by the viscount de Richemont who gave the leadership to the Soeurs de Cluny who came from the Réunion.
Nowadays it is a public academic institution where children from the kindergarten to the 8th grade go to school.
This Creole building has been reworked on in 1870.
The façade’s columns guarantee a protection against the sun and the monsoon rain. The terrace shaped roofs keep the house safe from strong winds and typhoons;
